GM - 4/7/2008 2:23:54 PM Hey everybody, just wanted to say thanks for coming to the SPLAT Fest on Saturday. We had a couple of small network problems in the morning, and ran out of soda and pizza sooner than anticipated, but overall it was another successful event for the 50+ people who came out to game. There was plenty of TF2, COD4, and Halo3 during the day, and we were able to complete the tourneys on time as well. Overall, a pretty good SPLAT. That's it for now, stay tuned for info on our next LAN party coming sometime this summer. 'til then! |

GM - 4/1/2008 5:06:33 PM Things are still a "GO" here at UCCS for the next All-Day SPLAT Fest, coming up THIS SATURDAY! We've even gone and started throwing up some fliers around the campus. Here's a quick schedule for the days events:
Tournament signup sheets will be available at the LAN. The Halo3 tourney will be a team-doubles cash tourney - $10 per team - winners take the pot. The COD4 tourney will be for fun and bragging rights, with details TBA at the event. We'll also be requiring $5 to attend from both students and non-students for this event. Sorry everybody, but reservation costs have increased and the food and drinks haven't been donated, so entry fees are needed to cover everything this time around. Don't forget, you can still sign up for this LAN party, just follow the links. See you on Saturday! |

GM - 2/14/2008 5:08:00 PM A date has been chosen for the next All-Day SPLAT Fest here at UCCS!!! Mark your calendars for: Saturday, April 5th. No details are available yet, but we'll be working on it right away, so stay tuned. There's also a LAN party going on the weekend before SPLAT, on March 29th, up in Fort Collins at the Intel Offices. The SPLAT Club is planning to attend and is looking to field some teams for the TF2 and CS:S tourneys, so if you've got the skills and want to team up with SPLAT, drop us an email at splat@uccs.edu and let us know! |

GM - 12/3/2007 4:38:00 PM Whelp, another All-Day SPLAT Fest has come and gone here at UCCS, and I'd like to thank everyone who showed up and helped make it a success. We've got a short review and pictures on our PAST SPLATs details page for this event, feel free to check it out. With finals right around the corner and the Fall 2007 semester coming to a close, the SPLAT Club will be taking a short break during the coming weeks, but stay tuned for news on our next All-Day LAN Party. GM - 11/19/2007 9:35:00 PM Hey everybody, the Thanksgiving holiday is almost here with the next All Day SPLAT Fest fast on it's heels, and everything's looking great here at UCCS for the upcoming LAN party. The Details Page for the event has been updated with some info on the tournaments and event schedule, and most importantly the following announcement: Times for the LAN have been changed to the following: The University Center will close the building at 10:00pm on Saturday November 24th. At this time, the event will become a "LOCK-IN" LAN party. This means that we will no longer be letting people into the building after 10pm. The only exceptions will be for event breakdown or in case of an emergency. Please coordinate with family and friends and be sure to let a SPLAT Club officer know if there's an emergency so you don't get locked-out of the building. Thanks! p.s. You may notice that the RSVP list has already hit the 60-person mark, but it looks like several people are coming for the XBox play and will not be bringing a computer to the BYOC part of the LAN, so if you haven't signed up yet but would like to come, don't worry, we should still have a few seats available. |
